In Großalmerode the seat of Aug. Gundlach KG, crucibles have beenmanufactured since the 16th century and the ancestors of the Gundlach family playedan important role in it. Today Aug Gundlach is the only company group which still produces crucibles and accessories in Germany and which has always remained independent. The Aug. Gundlach KG presently employs about 100 people in the parent company. More than 75% of the production is exported to foundries world-wide. Customers in more than 78 countries are supplied with refractories, ceramics and foundry materials produced by the Gundlach group. The customers benefit from a wide range of products, complementary to each other, a constant and reliable quality and a superior after sales service.Together with own sales agencies and representations Gundlach has built up a strong and reliable international network which takes advantage of the strength of each of these independent companies. The range of products begins with a 30 g crucible for the melting of gold up to a 5 ton crucible. Crucibles are available for all kinds and sizes of furnaces. Accessories like nozzles for continuous casting, stoppers, launders, plungers, ladle bowls, pyrometer tubes and special products to drawing complete the assortment.
