In the early 1920s, a Swedish immigrant working in a wire mill in Worcester, Massachusetts had an idea that would change the wire and cable industry forever. Oscar Sjogren had the innovation to design a tool that would make him better at his job, and the integrity to show that tool to his supervisor. After demonstrating how much the tool could positively impact his production, he sold it to the mill and used it in his daily work. After designing and selling several tools for wire work and subsequently selling them to his mill, Oscar Sjogren followed his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Sjogren Industries in 1927. From the start Sjogren Industries earned a reputation for innovating ahead of the wire and calbe industry and constant working toward product development and improvement. Sjogren Industries has been selling its superior wire tooling products to the wire and cable industry in the United States for four generations. In 1986, Carl Sjogren stepped into his great grandfather’s shoes when he took over the business. Since becoming president of Sjogren Industries, Carl has led the company through a tremendous period of growth, expanding product sales into Europe, and more recently launching a new manufacturing facility, Sjogren Manufacturing, Inc., in Worcester, MA. Today Sjogren Industries continues to build its reputation by providing customers with the highest quality products, designed and built by a superior engineering team.
