FERRO-PREIS was founded in the mid-20th century in the city of Čakovec, Croatia, under the original name Foundry Čakovec. In the year 1991, Foundry Čakovec became part of PREIS GROUP, Austria and the company name has been changed to Ferro-Preis d.o.o. Čakovec. The company manufactures a variety of castings made of grey (EN-GJL) and ductile (EN-GJS) cast iron according to customer specifications, such as housings and parts for electric motors and generators, pumps, bearing housings, castings for machine industry, gearboxes, drives, agriculture industry, furnaces, manhole covers. With an annual production of approx. 10.000 tons and more than 200 employees, the company Ferro-Preis is one of leading grey and ductile cast iron foundries and producers in southeast Europe. Because of different production lines and possibilities, from vertical casting machine suitable for products with higher lot sizes, classical horizontal machines, centrifugal casting line, up to single production in manual moulding shop, company provides clients with complete manufacturing solutions, consulting services and own design. As its own products under the brand name PREIS® Drainage systems, Ferro-Preis develops, manufactures and distributes the certified SML system of drainage pipes, fittings, couplings and other sewage products.
