METAL FORMING SYSTEMS, Inc. develops and supplies forming design and simulation software to its customers. Their software (NAGFORM, NAGSIM.2d and NAGSIM.3D) helps the users advance from part print to manufacturing process in a short period of time. With the help of these products, the customers can effectively design the part progressions (using NAGFORM) and test their tooling (using NAGSIM.2D / NAGSIM.3D) before investing in their resources. Metal Forming Systems continues to make major enhancements to these products.Following products will be on display at the Wire Dusseldorf 2014 show – Stand 15G11:NAGFORM is a knowledge based software program for automatic and manual design of forming sequence for formed parts. It allows the user to capture manufacturing knowledge and use it to design progressions for similar parts quickly in minutes. The sequence designs created in NAGFORM can be tested effortlessly in NAGSIM.2D FEA simulation software.NAGSIM.2D is a finite element software program for the computer simulation of two-dimensional metal forming processes. It can simulate large plastic deformation of the part as well as the elastic deformation of the tools. It complements 'NAGFORM', a knowledge-based program to create alternative forming sequences to form a part. NAGSIM.2D and NAGFORM together present a breakthrough in the development and optimization of forming sequence for a part.NAGSIM.3D is a general purpose finite element analysis (FEA) software program for the computer simulation of three dimensional metal forming processes. NAGSIM.3D can simulate large plastic deformation of the part and elastic stresses in tools (upcoming Version 1.2). Its powerful solver uses a modified tetra element that allows automatic meshing of complex parts.Following are some of the recent and upcoming updates that will be on display at the Wire Dusseldorf 2010 show – Stand 15F21: NAGFORM_Lite (TABLET)----------------------------- A Lighter version of NAGFORM is now available. NAGFORMLite has full modeling capability of NAGFORM program with capability to create Progression Designs manually. The program output includes part volume, surface area, forming strains, forming load and pressure calculations. The Program also creates DXF drawings of the parts and manually created forming sequences. Templates of most IFI Standard parts, SolidWorks / STEP interface and Library Tooling components are also available. NAGFORMLite can be installed on any Windows Based Desktop, Laptop or Windows 8 Tablet.
